You may have heard about the recent resurgence of measles in England which has led to the Public Health Agency organising a catch up campaign February to March 2024 for those patients who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated up to and including the age of 25 years.
The Public Health Agency will issue letters to all eligible patients aged 6yrs to 25 yrs advising them they require vaccination. Patients will be advised to view NIDirect to see local Trust arrangements. Community and Trust sites will be used for Trust-led vaccination clinics. These will be advertised through Trust website and social media.
For children aged 12 months to 5 years GP practices will be informed of patients requiring vaccination and will facilitate clinics. We will be sending out invites to those children identified as requiring vaccination.
For patients over 26 years we will facilitate vaccination upon request from the patient.
