Lisnaskea Medical Centre

COVID-19 and your medication

  • There is no need to do anything new or different when ordering or taking your mediation
  • People should order (online or by leaving tick and post in the postbox outside the practice) and take their medication as normal
  • Extra supplies should not be ordered
  • Stockpiling or purchasing medication you don’t need is completely unnecessary and could disadvantage other patients
  • There are no prescription shortages as a result of COVID-19
  • If you have any symptoms of COVID19 or are/have been in contact with symptoms self isolate- DON’T attend you community pharmacist
  • Your community Pharmacist may decide to give you month’s supply even if you script is for 2 or 3 months. This is to ensure they can keep the supply chains open. You can collect the month (s) still outstanding next month.
  • We will not prescribe reliever inhalers if you don’t have a clinical indication (asthmatic or COPD) or your respiratory condition is totally stable. Again, this is to prevent ‘stock piling’
