Test Results
Please ring after 11am to enquire about your test results. As a patient you are responsible for the follow up as we do not routinely ring everybody after getting tests done. To ensure confidentiality, we only release results to the patient, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed. We only deal with the results of tests which were requested by our doctors and nurses. If you are looking for a test result which was requested by your hospital doctor you will need to ring the hospital.
Most tests results take at least a week before they reach the practice and are viewed by the doctor.
Urinary Tract/Bladder Infection
If you feel you are suffering from a bladder infection you can ring the practice and the receptionists will ask you a few questions/will ask you to fill in our Bladder infection Form. Based on this information the receptionist can advise you to check with your community pharmacist later that day to see if a script has been issued, to leave an urine sample in or make you an appointment with our Urgent team.
Since our telephones are very busy in the early morning, we ask you to telephone for test results (eg blood, urine, x-ray) after 11am.
To ensure confidentiality, we only release results to the patient, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
