Important changes to phoning for appointments
We are introducing a new appointments system to help patients have better access to the booking process.
What we have done:
We have listened to our patients and local representatives and recognise that there are issues in terms of access. We have spent some significant time working on a new system to ensure efficient and reliable access for our patients who require appointments. Between the hours of 9am and 10.30am we have increased our phone lines and number of clerical staff available to answer calls, clinical staff will be available during this time to ensure patients are given an appropriate timescale to be seen. This will ensure that patients who have more serious complaints are prioritised. We have been trialling this new system for a number of weeks and are happy that this is enabling us to improve access for our patients.
What do you need to do?
To enable the Practice make these significant changes we ask our patients to work with us during this implementation process and into the future to ensure its success for the benefit of all. Patients are asked to only call the Practice between 9am and 10:30am for appointments.
What if I don’t need a same day appointment?
Patients who require results, one off prescriptions or other queries are urged to call after 10:30am.
If you need a repeat prescription, please
- sign for our online repeat prescription by phoning or messaging us via our triage link below or
- sign up for our Tick & Post service where you can indicate on a list what you need by ticking it with a pen and drop it in the available letter boxes or send by post. There is a post box inside the building at reception and on the outside wall at the side entrance to the Health Centre.
For non-urgent issues, you can also use the online patient triage https://florey.accurx.com/p/Z00574 .
